Year One.

Frank and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary this past weekend. I cannot believe how fast the first year went by! We wanted to do something special to celebrate so we decided on a fancy stay-cation in Atlanta. On Saturday afternoon, we made our way into downtown to check into our hotel. For dinner, we ate at the very delicious, South City Kitchen. We had heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant and were excited to try it out! We spent the evening remembering our “grown-up” moments and laughing about the fun memories we can't wait to repeat.

We stayed true to the tradition of indulging in 365-day old cake.

We were surprised that it didn’t taste that bad…it was just really dry. But the frosting was as sugary as we remembered.

We toasted with champagne and anticipated the excitement of what year 2 might bring!

Here we go!

To my friends and family…this is for you! A few of you have known my desire to create a blog, but being the perfectionist that I am, everything had to be right: my life had to be calm; I wanted to get a new computer (my old one was a dinosaur), my to-do list had to be completed, the sun needed to be shining, the laundry had to be put away, and the dishes had to done.

The truth is, I was procrastinating and making excuses. Some of my very best friends blog, and if you read their blogs as often as I do, you’d be intimidated too! I decided to man-up and join the blogging world. I want this to be a place I can share my life happenings with you—the good, the bad, and the ugly (well, maybe just the good and bad).
So, off I go…
