Friday's Letters

Dear Football Season Lately, you've become an excuse for me to see my friends and this weekend is no exception. You're bridging the gap between wedding seasons...good move.

(Speaking of wedding season...as of right now, there are 8 weddings on our 2013 calendar. EIGHT.)

Dear Lindsay & Amanda I can't wait to spend all day with you tomorrow! We'll let the boys watch football while we sit in the kitchen and have girlfriend chats. Wine included. At 2PM. 

Dear Thanksgiving Talk about a sneak attack....you came out of no where! Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way upset about this. Thanks for the 9 days off.

Dear Lucy & Grant HOOORRRAAYY for moving back to ATL and congrats on the j-o-b for Grant!! Let's get Georgia & Ellard together ASAP. Their arranged marriage has been put off long enough.

Dear Sis congrats on being the newest Tomahawk girl! Now I have even more reason to go to Braves games...so proud of you :)

Dear Christmas Tree do you have to go up in one week? I don't know where to put you.

Saturday in Athens

Last weekend we squeezed in a trip to Athens for a UGA game day! Accompanied by our best friends, we had a successful 12-hour day -- to Athens & back.

We ate lunch downtown, posed by the Arch, stopped by a few tailgates to say hello to friends, and then settled into our seats to cheer on the Dawgs to a win.

Goodbye Summer

Summer has officially ended. While I'm sad to say goodbye to free week days and a flexible schedule, I'm excited for what Fall has to offer. I am starting a new job on Monday (more on that later!) and the idea of planning outfits and packing lunches has me giddy with excitement. NERD ALERT! 

Before we kissed summertime goodbye, we capped it off with an amazing lake weekend with the sweetest friends. The weekend was filled with jet skis and boat rides, great conversation, delicious food, and new memories :) There is nothing more affirming and satisfying than simply being around friends that love and care about you. 

And then Jill put all of our wedding rings on.

Summer Update!

Summer has flown by and July is coming and going way too fast! We'll be celebrating my birthday this month, our anniversary in August, and Frank's birthday in September. Goodness gracious...before we know it, it's going to be Christmas. Overreaction? Sorry.


After we wrapped up wedding celebrations in June, we experienced...ummm how do I say...a month with a BUSTED air conditioner?!?! I'll spare you my complaining...it's finally fixed! 


At the beginning of June we got a dog!

Meet Ellard:

Ellard is a "retired" CCI dog. He was released from the program at the end of May because of "fearful behavior"...which is fine with us! He turned 2 in June and is a Golden Retriever-Yellow Lab cross. His temperament is as sweet as can be, he's very calm, and a huge snuggle bug. (I know my non-dog friends are shaking their heads at me...)

For July 4th, we continued with tradition and spent the day with Lindsay & Travis. We also hung out with Lindsay's high school friend, Anna and her husband, Frank. Anna was also a matron of honor in Lindsay & Travis's wedding and I got to know her very well over the past few months. It was a fun day of sunshine, swimming, and cooking out. 

 Ellard wasn't a fan of swimming...he preferred to lounge.

That's our summer so far. I hope y'all are having a great summer too!

Mandy's Baby Shower

Last weekend we showered Mandy with lots of love & baby goodies! The shower was decorated perfectly with the sweetest touches, here and there.

I'm always so excited to see Laura and her daughter, Veda Jane -- who celebrated her 1st birthday at the end of June! I can't believe how fast this sweet girl is growing up!

Last weekend, we gathered with a bunch of college friends to watch these two exchange their vows. 

The entire weekend was simply beautiful. 

Frank and I arrived in Athens on Thursday for a laid back evening of dinner and drinks. It was fun to hang out with the bride, groom and their families -- they were beaming with excitement!
